Cupola Sizing
Selecting a Cupola Size

In selecting the right size cupola for a building, here is a good rule of thumb to
follow:
use 1.5 inches of cupola for every foot of unbroken roofline.  The key
here is the unbroken roofline measurement.  For example: if a roof section
measures 24 feet, the minimum cupola size should be approximately 36" square.
For a more dramatic effect, or if a cupola is larger than 60" square is needed,
consider using two cupolas on the roofline.  When using more than one cupola per
roofline, here is a good rule of thumb to follow:  use 1 inch of cupola for every
foot of unbroken roofline.  For example: if a roof section measures 24 feet, the
minimum size of cupola should be approximately 24" square.
